Default Reading while eating......

I hope everyone is doing well and having a prosperous 2008!

I have a question... I have picked up a local free paper in the last couple of months at local restaurants... its called Coffee News...

If you are not familiar with it, Basically something to read while you kill time eating....BUT with local advertisers posted on both sides of the publication.

It seems to be a franchise of some sorts... here's the link:

NOW.... I'm just thinking... I've got a good niche that I can apply this same type of thing too. Does anyone know of a good wide/large format printer that won't break the bank. AND a paper supplier of this kind of paper.

I measured the paper... its 10 3/4" wide x 13 1/4" long. They print it on a light tan paper and all of the verbiage and graphics are in black and white.

I see a lot of printers out there for the wide/large format. But I'm wondering if any of you have done this type of thing....

Thanks..
Pappy

Default Re: Reading while eating......

I use EPSON printers for my large format stuff (11 by 17) and find them to do excellent work.

However....when I put together a program called "Table Trivia"....I printed 2 sheets of 8 1/2 by 11...laminated them with 3 mil laminate (a light laminate) and folded and stapled the 2 sheets together....and placed the pieces into Triangular plastic bases (5 inches long by 2" wide by 1" high with a slot down the middle for inserting the pieces)...and put these on each table.

I had "Trivia" stuff along with business card sized ads in them.

Went pretty well...until my 2nd or 3rd Renewal where I had to replace 90% of the advertisers because they didn't think the things were bringing them any business.
