In Detroit, there is a niche perfume store, that - in the evenings - transforms into a cocktail bar...
However - as is the case everywhere - customer numbers have been down during the pandemic...
But, they came up with a solution...
Frozen cocktail kits!
What they do is they freeze into ice cubes the mixture of juices, bitters, tinctures, and sugar, which are used in a cocktail.
The customer buys and takes the frozen cocktail ice cubes home.
Then, to make a cocktail, they just take a cube, add spirits, and then shake until the frozen cube is dissolved...
They sell these for "pick up" from their store. The price is $10 for 5 cubes (which makes 5 cocktails).
They have 5 different flavor choices of frozen cocktail cubes.
In the colder months, their evening cocktail bar is closed - but they're still selling the take-home frozen cocktail cubes!
A great example of new profits from clever small business innovation!
Best wishes!
