To take it one step further:
"Copy from one, it's plagiarism; copy from two, it's research." - John Milton.
Copy from more than one. Take advice from more than one person. Mix 2 good ideas and you'll come up with 1 great one.
Case in point: Henry Ford and how he mixed the meat packaging industry's ideas with the automobile industry.
(Its a good idea to study "gestalt" for people who are very curious about systemizing the process of mixing ideas. But most people just need to keep their eyes and ears and minds open and let their intuition do the work for them.)
