Tape vs Digital Camcorders

Hello....I'm looking at upgrading my Video Cam for some youtube stuff BUT...I noticed a "Digital" Camcorder at Office Depot.

This unit doesn't use a Tape...so I'm thinking it will be easier to make DVD's and upload to the web.

Any folks out here using a "Digital" Camcorder?
