A full-page Open Letter to Mr. Obama will be published in the Chicago Tribune on both Monday, December 1, 2008 and Wednesday, December 3, 2008. It will appear in the main news section. This ad is being placed by the We The People Foundation (see link below). The Open Letter to Mr. Obama is a formal Petition for a Redress (Remedy) for the alleged violation of the "natural born citizen" clause of the Constitution of the United States of America. Mr. Obama is respectfully requested to direct the Hawaiian officials to provide access to his original birth certificate on December 5-7 by a team of forensic scientists, and to provide additional documentary evidence establishing his citizenship status prior to the We The People's Washington, D.C. press conference on December 8. This is a link to the ad:

Here is the link to the We The People Foundation that explains the letter and its purpose and what the intentions of the foundation are with respect to determining whether or not Obama is elligible to be POTUS (president of the US):

They are requesting support (donations) for this effort. Here's the link to their donations/products page:

My thoughts:

The bottom line: He won the election. If he's elligible, he's president, so be it.

If he's not elligible, given the absolute spinelessness of our government officials and the complete willingness of the courts to ignore and/or abrogate the constitution, he might become president anyway. But if it's proven that he's not elligible or if it's left unproven, and he becomes president anyway, then those US citizens who still believe in the constitution will have a problem and will have to figure out what to do about it.

On the other hand, if it's proven that he's not elligible and he's denied the presidency, then the don't-give-me-that-constitution-crap element of the society is going to consider that THEY have a problem. And their "solution" can almost be guaranteed to be as uncomfortably irrational as they are, landing us all in the soup.

Me? I'm considering my small donation to the We The People Foundation be a vote for the constitution, no matter what the outcome.
