Hi, folks - I hope all friends in Eastern USA and Canada escape the worst of this horrible hurricane .... I have to say that I also hope that the storm blows itself out before it reaches across the pond!

Yes - I hope too that the end result is as best as can be hoped...
I read that the diameter of Hurricane Sandy is 2000 miles (3200 km) in diameter (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/9641294/Hurricane-Sandy-what-is-causing-the-Frankenstorm.html)... That just boggles the mind...
