I found this interesting series of articles (on the "Mashable" website), which is just getting started...
It's loosely based on those TV "makeover" shows - but it is aimed at small businesses!
Experts propose to give small businesses a "social media makeover" - that is, to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc., to help them get more customers and drum up more business (and profits)...
The first of the series is here - helping a woman sell her baby slings...

Here's the second one - helping a business which sells pain relief to horses...

Apparently, later all the articles will be collected on this page...
http://mashable.com/category/social-media-makeover/
They've promise to get back to us with the results, too, about a month after the original articles were published... (So hopefully the first results should be available in early June...)
This could be exciting! If they fulfil on their promise, we'll (hopefully) find out what worked (and what didn't), and gain some valuable knowhow ourselves about promoting small businesses through social media...
Au revoir (pardon my French) ;)
