It turns out that ostriches can provide a number of "solutions" to various problems...
Ostrich oil can be good for the skin, and is used as a skin care product.
Ostrich meat is a high protein, iron-rich red meat, which is also low in fat, cholesterol, and calories.
But another use for ostriches is for fun - kids love them, and can go on ostrich rides (adults too)! So an ostrich ranch can be a tourism magnet...

Which brings me to the real news - that there is an ostrich ranch for sale!
They are actually selling the ostriches and the business operation - but they want to hang on to their land. However, anyone who has rural land could look into this opportunity...
The current ranch is in Tehachapi, around 35 miles southeast of Bakersfield, California.
