View Full Version : A quite unusual restaurant...

Most restaurants run quite smoothly... Something as simple as getting a sandwich is pretty easy and fast.

However, one restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was run in a different way...

It was run as a Marxist collective!

Everything was a group decision, with no "bosses" or "managers"...

As a result, the restaurant open and closed at random times (since opening hours were also by group decision). People complained that it could take 40 minutes to get a sandwich!

Just like the good ol' days of the Soviet Union...

Sadly, this restaurant relic of Soviet nostalgia has now closed... Running it on Marxist principles didn't seem to make enough money to pay the bills...

Capitalism defeats Marxism... until the proletariat rises again!
