What is the best course on affiliate marketing? I'm interested in generic courses on affiliate marketing and I'm also interested in courses on Clickbank. Please reply to this thread so I can see other's feedback.

I notice - yes, I AM the Internet Police (see my badge below) - that you asked almost the same question here already... Nov 2006 (nearly 2 years ago).

Have you not found the answer for yourself in all this time?

There is no Best Course. Ask 563 different people and you will get different answers. Some will ask, "What is Affiliate marketing... and what is a Clickbank" as they probably don't have a computer nor internet access. Believe it or not, Heaps of people don't know what PayPal is either.

Some will tell you This One is best, and then leave a link to their own course - or - a course they are an Affiliate of and the link will be an affiliate link.

Others will recommend courses they have experienced or know of.

The foremost Expert on Affilate stuff is Allan Gardyne's website http://www.associateprograms.com - stacks of info there and discussion forums. if it's Affiliate stuff you want to know, start there.

Why is Shawn looking for the best course on affiliate marketing if he's promoting himself as an expert in the general field of internet marketing? :)

Pretty bad when the Internet Police have to investigate and ask these kinds of questions...

Maybe Shawn fell asleep at the keyboard in 2006. Before the sub-prime mortgage crisis, prior to the Obama becoming a household name, McCain was written off as a candidate, the housing bubble had not yet burst.

Imagine the gurus who have come and gone in that time.

One thing for sure, Shawn is consistent. Look for him to ask about the best affiliate marketing course again sometime around 2012!

Boy, you guys are rough!

This was not an attempt at "shameless self-promotion". I have modified my SOW PUB sig file, so there are no more assumptions.

I have spent that 18 months focusing on 2-3 clients that have brought me in a substantial amount of money. Prior to that, I spent the previous year consulting about 30-40 people on blogging and how to use to increase search engine ranking (my sole focus); that also was successful but very time consuming.

However, due to the time commitment of 1-on-1 consulting to medium size businesses, I have decided to look at other options of buillding an online business such as selling my own products and/or other products via Clickbank or affiliate marketing. I have not had the time to cease other projects that were never started, modify my primary website or to modify a sig file on SOW PUB that references a dormant website, which was added to my SOW PUB sig file 1-2 years ago. Yes, that is my fault.

Yes, I guess I did wake-up and decided to control my own life and decided to focus on one thing.

This was an honest question that received unwarranted responses without knowing the facts. Courses or materials on a subject may change over time; that is why I asked the question.

We get a lot of people on this board who ask a question, then change their username - and answer their own questions with a self promotional link. (The moderators take such threads down very quickly.)

Thats why - the harsh response.

Anyways, to answer your question on best courses on affiliate marketing:

2. The best packages on affiliate marketing are usually not courses or ebooks. But they're softwares. Many people sell softwares and give free training.

These are actually a better idea to buy rather than buying ebooks or courses. Because once you buy ebooks, you'll have to spend money on such softwares as it is.

Hi Shawn,

Sorry that my comments were a little tough on you... As most can see I always try and addon a :) or two and try to keep the comments as light as possible...

But you have to understand, once people in general put information on the web...

Many like myself will research through the web, tearing things apart and accessing the Hype and Guru type tactics used in ones copy etc...

Therefore judging, why would this person be trying to find out about Affiliate Marketing when they're already a Published internet marketer according to Google... Go figure?

Anyhow, that's just my take on things and I Bet many other Smart Consumer's think that way too...

Unfortunately, Many newbie's don't understand as well when they start out...

So, there's Gotta be a few of us Watch Dogs keeping an Eye on things...
