Twitch
Has anyone considered trying Twitch instead of YouTube? I know it's more about gaming, but there also other topics that are quite popular. Does anyone see or think there's any potential in this platform to make money from posting videos and streaming there?

Twitch and monetizing live video - a couple of hurdles...
Quote:
What I actually read was how musicians can monetize live performances on Twitch... (This was relevant to me as I am a band manager, among other things...) However, monetization tools are not available on Twitch to everyone... Usually, you have to satisfy these conditions... 1. Have at least 50 followers on Twitch 2. Have at least 500 total broadcast minutes in the last 30 days (i.e. 500 hours = 8 hours 20 minutes) 3. 7 unique broadcast days in the last 30 days 4. An average of 3 concurrent viewers or more in the last 30 days. However, you can sidestep this if you're an artist on SoundCloud (which is an audio platform often used by musicians and bands)... SoundCloud and Twitch just made it easier for musicians to monetize live streams https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/23/2...e-live-streams Keep in mind, Twitch was set up to stream live-playing of video games, so the above numbers make sense if you're livestreaming games. It might be harder to achieve if you're doing pure educational content! Maybe a good way to start would be with a hybrid channel - partly streaming games you're playing, in order to hit the numbers... However, this is a good topic and worth looking into more... Re: Twitch
Both platforms are good though, the best is to use all platforms :D
