Wow, way too much bad news in the world lately...

However, as shocking as it sounds, any "change" is an opportunity...

As you point out, it can be an opportunity when people don't feel safe. Sales of guns and "doomsday prepper" products do well in such times... People stock out their emergency provisions in their basement, and so on...

Those who have "entrepreneurial instincts" know this, and can profit in any kind of economy, in any kind of situation... J. Paul Getty made his first millions from the oil business, but then made more millions during the Great Depression by snapping up high quality artworks at dirt cheap prices...

It's kind shocking to point this out... But, that's how it works...

Speaking of gold, one of the buy my newsletter guys just came out and said gold will be 5K an ounce. Wasn't specific when though. I wonder if he is making that up:D

BTW, I will sell you all the god you want for $100 an ounce with only one caveat: We will not specify a particular delivery date. I happen to have access to a lot of gold so you can depend on me. No tricks up my sleeve either.

But I hope your newsletter guy is right because the apocalypse they all have predicted (for the last 40 years) will be as mild as their conservative thinking allows.

If any of their dire warnings about the collapse of the dollar and worldwide depression come close to their newsletter pitches, gold will be utterly useless.

See, they are themselves in a Normalcy bias stage, by thinking the collapse won't touch them because they have gold or diamonds or a basement full of food. They are Russian nobility (the Czarists) circa 1916.

They are locked in The Bastille on 13 July 1789.

Or to paraphrase Paul Simon:
"all of their wealth won't by them health (life)"

Gold won't buy them the bullets they need for their shotguns and rifles when the gangs armed with assault rifles coming storming their mansion retreats...now THAT is an apocalyptic view of how gold tumbles below the value of a pound of beans.
