Which IM Do You Use

Which Instant Messenger software do you use?

MSN?
Yahoo Messenger?
ICQ?
Windows Live?
Other?

Years ago we all used ICQ and would even have it on while chatting on IRC. And while download.com shows ICQ has the most downloads, it seems the new ICQ ain't worth the bytes to download - larger memory with fewer features etc. - and all versions released, after being bought by AOL and no longer owned by Miribilis, have seen the software get worse and people switch to other IM.

So which one d'yall use?

P.S. Dien, how do you make a Poll? I clicked the Poll thing but it didn't give me any Options to let people choose from.

Skype. The best way to place international calls.

MSN. Because the programmer that works for me uses MSN.

Google also has this http://www.Google.com/talk internet messenger. Where you don't have to download a software to chat. It opens the messenger in a new browser window. I've used that from time to time - but don't use it frequently.

Hi Michael,

I don't use instant messaging software often. But it can be a useful tool, so I do use it from time to time with people I know... (Mainly with those who seem to refuse to write emails!)

When I do use IM, I use Trillian.

http://www.download.com/Trillian/300...-10700315.html

This is free software that lets you use multiple instant messaging programs simultaneously. That way, you don't really have to "choose" between them - instead, use them all!

Also, here's how to create a poll...

Quote:

How To Create A Poll: You can create polls when you're starting a new thread. Click on the "New Thread" button. There, you can write your post to help introduce your poll. At the end of the page, you'll see a check box which says "Post a Poll", and you can select how many items you want in your poll. Check that box to post a poll. Then click the "Submit New Thread" button. The next pages will then prompt you to fill in the different options in your poll.
It's from this post... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5148

Cheers :)

Google TALK

I use Google TALK because it integrates with GMAIL so easily, and archives my conversations with clients. It is a natural fit with all of the collaborative features of Google.

Aloha,

Jason

When I do use IM, I use Yahoo! All my kids have it, so it's easy to see when they're online.

Every morning I'm on Skype with a few people I'm working with on various projects. It seems to be the easiest to use when you've got multiple chats going on.

When I'm talking with family or friends we always want to use our webcams and for that I use Apple's iChat.

SKYPE - ZonaParrothead
iChat - [email protected]
