Default "Beat the dealer"...

I know a guy who's a mathematician... He was a university professor. But he got sick of academia, and he quit...

He then figured out how to make money from the casino. He noticed their system, and figured out a way so the odds were on HIS side...

He played at the casino here in Melbourne, Australia (Crown Casino). He made a living from the casino for about two years...

Then, the casino figured out how he was "gaming" the system!

And they banned him!

That's the whole problem with that... The casino can ban you. I was interested in doing something similar once (though I hadn't figured out my friend's system, I just read Ed Thorpe's book, "Beat the Dealer" - he was also a mathematician, and he invented card counting in blackjack)... But then I figured, if they can just ban you if you keep winning, what's the point?

The great thing about the "game" of business is, they can't ban you if you win!

Best wishes,

Dien

When I was playing Pick 3 regularly, I had charts and charts... front pairs, back pairs, hot numbers, cold numbers, etc.

I spent some time on it. Probably too much time.

What basically drove me was I figured I was intelligent enough to figure out how to "beat" the state, and take their money. Yes, I made money, but I spent more than I won. Finally, I decided that since I made a whole lot more money helping business owners make more money, I would stick to that.

As I said earlier, when Powerball or Megaball get over a billion dollars, then I'll spend a couple of bucks for tickets.

Gordon, I do like your idea for the Hotsheets. As Glenn has observed several times, people like to take a chance... and if your Hotsheets tie into that dream, others may like them too.
