Just a quick run down on what's NEW!

I've been a little bit under the weather lately, but I've now recovered, and rarin' to go!

If you don't know of it yet, Michael Ross has a new product out which we are happy to showcase here.... It's a tool, to make your writing a breeze.

Well, it won't do the writing for you (I'm still waiting on that device - maybe that can be Dean Kamen's next invention!) - but it sure helps!

What do you do if you're fresh out of ideas in your writing?

One solution is to turn to Writer's Friend's list of headlines, cliches, quotes, and miscellaneous items. Just reading through these is often enough to help stimulate something new to say. You can also add your own favorite items too. (I've started to add one-liner jokes to the "misc." section too so I can use them to spice up my writings. :) )

A word about cliches. If you mentioned you're going to use a cliche to your old high school English teacher, she would probably have thrown up her arms in exasperation!

One thing they taught ME in high school was not to use cliches. But if you are writing persuasively, the goal is to move someone and COMMUNICATE. The great thing about cliches is that everyone knows instantly what you're talking about.

So if you're writing to persuade, then by all means use cliches.... But please don't tell any English teachers, for their sake! :)
