Before I explain further, thanks Glenn for the inspiration!
You may say all you want about Pablo Picasso's flaws as a human, but you can't honestly say that he wasn't PRODUCTIVE (in literally every sense of that word!)
According to the
Guinness Book of World Records, Picasso created:
- 13,500 paintings and designs
- 100,000 prints and engravings
- 34,000 book illustrations, and
- 300 sculptures and ceramics.
No other artist in the written history of man has been that prolific.
Of course, with the sheer volume of material Picasso put out, it's no wonder that thieves and ne'er-do-wells picked interest, looking for easy moolah. In 2012 the
Art Loss Register listed over 1,140 works of his that were either stolen, missing or in dispute.
However, contrary to popular belief, Picasso's productivity didn't come from his being "special" or just sitting around waiting for "the muse" to kiss him
Picasso had a METHOD that worked.
Not many people know that Picasso was a strong believer in
ACTION PLANS.
He even said:
“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”
– Pablo Picasso
Hope this helps you
