![]() I passed on Riding the Bullet...primarily because I'm not a horror fan (I do like Poe though). However, I wanted to see exactly what Stephano was doing with the seriograph, The Plant...and the hooks that would make me want to pay for the next installment.
Since he is charging 1 buck for about 20 pages of work...you know that there are at least 3 more sections (cause they are already done) and potentially a couple more...making the book between 100-150 pages OR $5-7. You'd pay just about that much for a good paperback. Who says that old Stephen doesn't know anything about marketing? As for me...I was more than amused with part one and two...I chuckled to myself repeatedly and commented about his writing style and about his ability to develop characters. I downloaded part one AND two in a format that preserved the fonts HE wanted...which is one more big PLUS of PDF format. Of course, I will get part 3...especially with the teaser on the last page of part 2. In fact...I wanted it right after I finished part 2... Any one else enjoying the process? CJ P.S. I actually found myself really enjoying the official King website. There is a great deal of humor in it AND it is exceptionally well done. Now some people will say, "heck, if I was a multimillionaire, I'd have a great website too" but that's not necessarily the case. Take Robert Allen...his INITIAL site was...NOT good...sure he paid HIS guru of sorts to put that up, touting him as the next inet marketing messiah...then what happenend...version 2...NOW we are on version 3...one that is a whole lot more user friendly AND focused MORE on the user than on Robert. Stephen King KNOWS what his visitors want AND he gives it to them masterfully. Study his process... If Your Haven't Downloaded 'The Plant', Here's where to get it... ![]() |
