![]() Hello Steve,
Thank you for providing the following information. But I don't know HOW you found it! :-) > In case you don't know, your site is is > running Apache/1.3.3 (Unix) mod_perl/1.22 > FrontPage/4.0.4.3 on Linux. > Assuming you have your own cgi-bin, you > won't have any problem. Do I simply contact my ISP to find out if I have my own cgi-bin? I just read the discussion between you and Marty, And the more I read, the more I felt like a first grader sitting in on a discussion between 2 seniors. A little over my head? YES! Sometimes I think I know just enough to be dangerous, but not enough to be productive. :-) Thanks again, Diane Why Does This Book Sell? Because It WORKS! ![]() |

![]() Hi Diane,
Many people will manage their web sites with an FTP client such as WS_FTP. When you FTP into a site you can view the directory structure. If you were to do this, not only could you upload and download batches of files very easily, you could also see if there was a cgi-bin in your directories. I have written an eBook about how to use WS_FTP. It is a popular program for this type of work. I don't charge for the eBook. It is also a web based tutorial so you can read the entire book online. Then if you want to reference this info later you can download the eBook. (he-he) This should give you "one up on 'em" in grade two.... I'll put a link below to the web based FTP tutorial. When you view it, you will see a link for the eBook. It is in PDF (Acrobat Reader) format. Best Regards, Steve MacLellan WS_FTP Tutorial ![]() |
