![]() I just had a flash of light...I am living my dream.
When I was 10 years old, I remember vividly, I use to have this little desk in my basement. I always use to play businessman. I kept a stack of papers on the left hand side of the desk. I had a name plate made out of a bent in two pieces of paper that said Taylor W. Trump. I had a cup full of highlighters and ink pens. I had reading material, (Dr. Seuss books back then.) My dream back then was to be a businessman. I would be down stairs in my “office” for hours wheeling and dealing, calling other big shots and movers and shakers creating deals, closing deals, etc. Today, this morning, while preparing to mail out my “Proprietary Client Questionnaire” to several new consulting clients, I leaned back in my chair and had this sudden revelation. Or maybe it was more like a flashback. What I saw was my reading the Wall Street Journal, daily. Then the Investor’s Business Daily. Me on the telephone calling the various mutual funds requesting their financial reports. I saw myself sitting in class at Mankato State learning about business administration. (What a waste of time!). I saw myself sitting downtown at the exchange watching videos of Paul Tudor Jones trading wearing his “lucky sweater and sneakers.” I saw myself sitting in front of Irwin Jacobs listening intensely while he told me the inner workings of risk arbitrage and how he did business with the Great Michael Milken, T. Boone Pickens, Saul Steinberg, Carl Icahn. These were and still are the movers and shakers of industry and finance in this and other countries. I saw numerous other instances that all brought me to the realization that I am now living my dream. How so? When I was young I wanted...needed to be able to have a goal that was attainable. That goal was to be able to do business on a scale that meant something to...me! I am now doing this. I didn’t know I was until this very moment. All the things I held in my subconscious mind, I guess, have come to fruition, probably a long time ago. So, I ask you, are you living your dream? If not, why not begin to now. Do you know what that dream was when you were formulating it? If not, why not formulate it right now. Also, remember this...if and when you are able to articulate your dream there are others who will gladly help you to realize it. Gordon Alexander is one such person. So is Julie Jordan Scott. Look them up, they visit here at times. Taylor |

![]() Hi Taylor!
When I saw your headline, I immediately smiled as I saw the same thing in my life as you see yours, well, different pictures yet living my dream life. > I just had a flash of light...I am living my > dream. ***Isn't it extraordinairy? > When I was 10 years old, I remember vividly, > I use to have this little desk in my > basement. I always use to play businessman. I >kept a stack of papers on the left hand side of >the desk. I had a name plate made out of a bent > in two pieces of paper that said Taylor W. > Trump. ****I had a theatre set up in my basement. I took several old sheets and made a curtain with signs on it with "WJAJ" emblazoned on them. Those were my initials then, with the "W" being the prefix for New York television stations. The internet had not been invented yet, so I had to improvise! I would take a microphone and "speak to the people"....entering into conversation, teaching, asking questions, inquiring of them....I even had friends who would sit and play along.... Now I have children who sit and listen from the other room as I work with my clients. I listen to Katherine, especially, as she talks to her friends. She is like a Junior Life Purpose Coach. Once I was speaking to at a Luncheon meeting, and she came along with me. She asked if she could speak a moment. I said, "SURE!" not knowing what she was planning, but figuring it would be something like, "My name is Katherine, I am in first grade at Heritage Academy." Instead, she got up and spoke on the need for school uniforms at the high school level. Just off the cuff! Now what sort of a life do you think she is imagining for herself in the future...... Thanks again, Taylor, for your inspiring words. With Purpose and Passion, JULIE 5 Passions has a New Look! ![]() |

![]() Hi Taylor,
Congratulations on living your dream! And also thanks for the entertaining article. :) In my case, I had some funny dreams as a kid.... I remember that I had a Dr. Seuss book at around age 5 or 6 or so, it was called "My Book About Me" (it seems to still be in print). It had blank spaces where you could fill in stuff, and one of the sections was "What I want to be when I grow up." As I remember, it had one blank space.... But I filled up the whole page! I'm not kidding.... I remember writing "mad scientist, racing car driver, fireman, astronaut" and so on, and running out of space so I had to cram everything in there, writing smaller and smaller and smaller. I don't think I knew the word "entrepreneur" yet back then though, or I'm sure I would have stuck it there right next to "mad scientist". :) But how successful you are is partly in your head.... When we feel unhappy, it's often because of things like jealousy or envy, and that's kind of a "false" source of unhappiness. Sometimes we push ourselves due to jealousy or envy, and while that sometimes works, I think it doesn't really make you happy.... However, you might also push yourself further as a challenge, and that's the sort of motivation I think which means you can be happy and still yet strive for greater things, to find your own limitations.... Thanks Taylor! I really enjoyed what you had to say, and I hope you write more.... :) Best wishes, Dien P.S. If you get a chance, be sure to check out Taylor's web site.... I've linked to it below.... The Trump Internet Group |

![]() Sorry Julie, I've always been inspired by Star Trek.... :) (That's how Star Trek might start in the episode starring Julie Jordan Scott....) Well, we may not have achieved that dream just yet...
But Julie, maybe John Glenn has given us hope that we still have time! Now, the only thing standing in our way is NASA.... If we could only convince them to let us on board a space shuttle flight, then the sky is no longer the limit! :) Thank you Julie for sharing your dream, I believe that dreams are made for coming true.... :) Thanks :) Dien Discover Your Passions.... |

![]() Not so much on the topic of astronauts, but more on the topic of space travel.... Aren't commercial space flights meant to start next year or the year after?

![]() Hi Thomas,
You asked a very interesting question.... > Not so much on the topic of astronauts, but > more on the topic of space travel.... Aren't > commercial space flights meant to start next > year or the year after? I don't know.... That could be very exciting if it's true! I know I've heard people talking about this here and there, but I wasn't aware of a sure date.... Please let me know if you know more! :) Cheers, Dien |

Unfortunately the flights they offer aren't available for a few years, cost quite a lot, and don't last very long, but take a look for interest's sake anyway. The link is below. I'm sure that in the future commercial space travel will be more viable, as I'm sure I've heard of Hilton's plans to build the first hotel in space before, and with the construction of the first international space station now underway (I think), this should lead to other such developments. - Thomas Rice. ![]() "The drinks were OK but there is no atmosphere."
Thanks Thomas! That's a very interesting web site.... I think space-travel may be possible in a few years, so I'm hoping to fly too -- once the price comes down to a mere one year's salary.... :) Cheers :) Dien |
