That's not so surprising. But perhaps, it's a bit more surprising when it happens with vegetables!

At one of their stores in New York City, Whole Foods now has a "produce butcher!" They'll clean, trim, and custom-cut all kinds of fruit and vegetables to order...

Is this the way of the future? Custom-trimmed vegetables?

Somehow, it strikes me... It could be the beginning of a trend...!

Best wishes,

I don't mean, finally someone to chop my veggies...I'm talking saving time and in NYC where it takes time to get anywhere, and some of the highest paying jobs in the world, it is cheaper than hiring a cook.

We can't all have (or want) a Majordomo, but we look for all the time savers we can afford.

Most use some form of a concierge such as a Dry Cleaner or laundry service.

Affluent people have their laundry done for them, houses cleaned, cars taken care of, meals prepared, many of the routine chores most of us have to do which takes up time.

Now most of us do our own, and even get joy or satisfaction from chores, but for some people, those who seem to get more done than us average folks, it could be do to their use of HELPERS.

And as business, it is indeed a growing business, from helpers in the house to help out to services and businesses outside of the home too.

Some of it has to do with the aging of America (baby boomers) for example, when I was young, I liked the "seed to compost" chores; prepping the garden, planting the seeds, weeding, watering, debugging, and then the harvest, prep and eating.

Lots of time and energy. Today, I'm just as likely to grab an old man's shake and try to expedite the whole eating process.

So, anything that saves people time could have a solid business chance, even something as weird as veggie butcher, (I just hate to see those cabbages rolling around like a chicken which has just had its head cut off).
