It sounds interesting Millard. Re: 1961 plane incidents, at that time the CAB was still in existence, and they kept records. You have to jump through a few hoops and spend some time, but their archives are available, and the incident in Kansas City is probably somewhere with them. The FAA, is for the most part, useless in my opinion...based on what pilot Bud Riggs told me about how they investigate the dozens of plane "incidents" a day.

Bud convinced me, to be extra careful when flying in "puddle hoppers" because today, the pilots need very little actual air time to qualify.

Good luck, I might be a good target for a sustainable homestead, without reverting back to my W.V. roots, over the holler and around the bend.
