![]() Let me start by showing off my bilingualism.... :)
"G'day Gordon, strewth that was a ripper post!" [Translation from Aussie to American: "Hello Gordon, gosh that post was great!"] ;) > A revised BYBA will be posted before the > 15th of the month. It will contain a lot > more resources. And maybe a special section > for NEWBIES, a sort of where to begin > section...although I stand by my original > idea... > a BOOKLET is a great place to start. Gordon, I think that's true.... And even an article could be a place to start (post it on the forum!).... A few articles on related topics could make a booklet, and a few of those could make an ebook.... I think this is one "secret" that can make things easy to write.... Break it down into small pieces.... > OK. Now it is your turn. > Did you acheive your Summer goals? I think it's true many people don't have clear goals with deadlines.... This is something I've been learning from you, Gordon, the value of clear goals with deadlines. I see now how it's all tied into the pictogrigms in the Square One Workshops, like in the posts you've shared on the forum.... :) What do others think? Do most people have clear goals? Maybe this is something we can focus on discussing here.... > Do you have a written plan for the Fall, for > Winter, for 2001? I'm sure most people don't, and I have some goal-setting to do myself! > Some of you early birds at sowpub have > watched us evolve and test and shake things > out. I did a lot of "testing" with my earlier posts, trying out different styles of writing -- stories, a more "scientific" style, and others, to see what people liked.... While I'm not an expert at this, I am a natural "experimenter" in that I like to try out new things to see what works. It's a great (and fun to use) technique.... It's the same thing as "testing" though I tend to like to call it "experimenting" -- I'm not sure where I picked it up, but I've been "experimenting" at least since my early teens.... :) > The reason I'm posting this REVIEW is to > stimulate your thinking. To get you to set > goals. > One of those might be to get your e-book or > even e-booklet ready by Fall's end. I know some people are writing their ebooks right now, and some will have their ebooks available for you to purchase from SOWPUB very soon....! It's very exciting, I can't wait to offer you the incredible quality of knowledge which is coming your way.... > SOWPUB is the sole property of Dien Rice. I > applaud him publicly for setting a goal and > working to achieve it. Now Dien, set even > bigger and bigger ones. I know you will > achieve them. Thanks Gordon. One of the most important things I learned from you, Gordon, is the importance of a WIN/WIN/WIN philosophy -- be sure not only to deliver, but to OVER-deliver.... I'm working on it, and hopefully I'm improving all the time.... And another vital thing I've learned from you, Gordon, is the importance of goal-setting, and achieving those goals. This is more important than you might realize at first, but it is one of the most important keys to success. Setting a goal and achieving it.... If you can do that, you have one of the most important keys to success in the palm of your hand. It's like the key that starts the ignition on your travels to bigger and better things.... > September is to test the systems, get all > the final little bugs worked out, make sure > you can spend your money here (hey did you > know that REMOTE HYPNOSIS is available to > buy, get your credit card out and help us > test the system, it's the best 12 bucks you > can invest today!)... Gordon, with your aim to OVER-deliver on your promise, I'm extra-pleased to be working with you.... :) It's exciting to be part of something so immediately useful.... I know that many people's eyes are being opened as they read through Remote Hypnosis and do the pictogrigms (if their experience is anything like mine has been).... > I like this type of Joint Venture...and you > might consider doing one too. > The first could be with Dien, right here. > He'll help you get your feet wet before you > make the plunge. Sure, if you have an ebook in mind, let me know... More email replies will be coming soon.... :) > YOU can build and create (as Julie Jordon > Scott likes to say): > a life of PASSION and PURPOSE . > AND I might add to that, a life of balanced > PROSPERITY ... > WHATEVER that means to you. Let me say, I can't say enough nice things about Julie Jordan Scott. She is one of the true and REAL people on the internet. Julie helped me when I was feeling down about something, and I know that I'm not the only one. She's really one-of-a-kind.... If nothing else, go to her web site at www.5passions.com and read her story.... If your reaction is like mine, you'll begin to discover your Passion too! > So get out your notebooks, your idea pads > and start setting your goals. > If you want, go ahead and post them here, > nothing like a little PUBLIC peeking to keep > you motivated. And here we come to a third thing I've learned from Gordon.... The importance of FEEDBACK. To me, this was a big eye-opener. I liked to think that there was a clear obvious answer to everything.... but when it comes to human nature, things can change -- trends, fashions, opinions change, in ways that may be unpredictable. And marketing is all dependent on human nature. So what's the solution? The solution is to ask and get FEEDBACK. A forum like this one is a powerful tool you can use.... Post your ideas (or even just a part of them), and get some feedback about them, to get some feeling for if your idea is something people will spend money for. That's an important lesson, DON'T understimate it -- it can mean the difference between failure and success, before you've spent too much of your money and time to back out.... > Thanks again to all visitors for allowing us > to build a truly unique forum, and for > sharing in our goals. > Now, get busy. Thanks Gordon.... I'm going to clarify my goals for the next season RIGHT NOW! Goal setting, Feedback, are these good topics to discuss further? Please let me know.... Gordon, do you have any tips on "market testing" in general? I know that one way is to ask ask ask for feedback.... But are there other ways too? What do you recommend? This is an important topic, yet I know it stumps a lot of people (including me).... If you could shed any light on this, it'd be great. :) Thanks! Dien |
