Smile Need opinions about my landing page.

Greetings Group,

I just revamped my front page at my website. I wanted a simpler approach.

I also did some trimming of the fat on some of my other pages.

Please check it out and give me some feedback.

Woody,

That's simple and to the point.

I would suggest conjoining the words Forget and Proof with a dash.

"Forget-Proof"

A quick afterthought,

"Want forget-proof customers?
Use forget-proof reminders that get to the point"

Then have a graphic of one of your more popular pens showing "the point"

Thanks Lawrence,

I made the change, as you suggested above.

In your other post, the second line wasn't drawing the viewer to me. But your suggestion did trigger a different call to action phrase.

Hi Woody,

My testing shows me that adding pictures to the landing pages work very well.

You might want to think about adding your picture to the page. Or your product pictures to the page.

Another thing that might work is: adding a qualifier.

"Are you a business owner who wants to make sure that your customers never forget you?"

Or something to that effect.

And I always tend to use an optin form that collects people's email addresses. I do sometimes make it optional for them to enter their email ids - depending on the product on the website. But I think you should collect people's email ids first thing because it makes sense for your business. You could then follow up with them every often - and get them to buy special promotional goodies for different occassions - Xmas, New Year, Einstein's bday etc.

Hi, Woody.
You created some curiousity with your headline but not sure it's enough for me to click the enter button.
"Forget-proof" is catchy, but I like to see a little more reason to go on.
How will you get visitors to your site? And when they get there, will they be pre-informed about what forget proof is?
Ankesh has much more experience and knowledge than I do, but, as far as graphics, John Reese has tested no graphics outperform graphics in some cases.
I'd suggest you add a few benefit driven bullets and an opt-in but not make it mandatory.

Default Woody, How will people find this landing page?

Who are you targeting?

HOW will they get there?

I typed in your url. And it was confusing to ME. But then, maybe I don't understand what you are trying to do?

Are you appealing to NEW customers? Why do you need a landing page?

Your first page of the catalog explains it. I can see what you are offering.

IF you are up for some testing, then there are other ideas for you, but first, it would be helpful to understand what it is you are trying to do and WHOM you expect to land on the landing page?

I went to Big Promotions dot com because they PAID to be seen at google for a Kaesar and Blair search. I get what they are doing in spite of the wordiness.

But, I don't see any up front reasons, but buried down a few paragraphs they put this in:

When you're planning your next event or program, give us a call. We've got hundreds of ideas that'll turn your plans into something special. Our consultants can show you how to-
  • Enhance your marketing campaign with promotional items
  • Successfully target your audience
  • Create themes that make people take notice
  • Utilize the hottest new items and latest trends
  • Create a lasting impression for your company
And I find three of the 5 to be very WEAK response getters, such as UTILIZE the hottest new itmes and latest trends. But again, this is a company that is paying to be looked at.

Then I went to logo click, another BIG K&B google advertiser. Saw what they do.

Then Resource Marketing and THEN Woody, I searched google for Promotional Products.

And made about 6 people PAY for their ads with my clicks. ALL show products.

Is it understood by businesses WHAT promotional products are? Do you or K & B et al offer any FIGURES or FACTS that show using Promotional Advertising pays off for the business?

Here is a little article that explains a little as to why use them:

http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/r-art...nal_products-i

Here's another CRAPPY (in my opinion) WHY?:

http://www.allbusiness.com/marketing...ns/1200-1.html

And finally Woody, MY opinion if you are going to use a landing page, more of what it should look like BUT...:

http://www.promoideas.com/Why.html

With YOUR superior marketing and promotional skills.

At the bottom of that page you'll find a STUDY that you can buy, and there are facts and figures in that I'm sure, that you can use to create a more powerful landing page. Just as an example from that page:

The study also showed that respondents' ability to recall the name of an advertiser on a promotional product they had received (76 percent) was much better than their ability to recall the name of an advertiser from a print publication they had read in the past week (53.5 percent).

76% of YOUR customers that receive a promotional product from you are more likely to recall your name than if they had just read it in the past week.

If you use Promotional Products you can expect, according to one study that your business will _______________

So, I think it goes to the WHO you want to land on your page and WHY?

As it is, and Woody you know me to be brutally OPINIONATED, I just don't see how it is going to increase your business? But then, I always reserve the right to be wrong, OK?
