Default Buy a cow, pay for it with its own milk. A Harvey Brody audio.

I have many hours of personal audios from Harvey Brody, spread out over a year, but most of you have never heard him. So here is a chance.

https://techieleadership.com/buying-...bonus-episode/

It is a thumbnail of his philosophy, but he covers some of his more popular ideas.

The spud gun. Paul Anka. Will Durant. Computer lists and management. Opportunity.

OK. Listen if you have never heard Harvey. At 87, he's in good health, has a 60 year marriage, has sold over 150 million units of just two of his products. Got his daughter started at 12 years of age. Worked with Joe Cossman, mentored Jay Abraham as a favor to Bud Weckesser, was friends and mentor to Gary Halbert, Ben Suarez and many others.

He is one of a kind.

As I noted, I have several hours of audio recorded, and at one time had almost all of his published courses, books and programs and when you get to understand and APPLY what he has to offer, the whole world changes for the better for you.

Hi Gordon,

I haven't listened to it yet (will do so later today), but I agree with you... learning from Harvey Brody is time well spent!

Best wishes,

Dien

P.S. I will just note that I'm not working on any projects with Harvey at the moment, but we're still on good terms...

Dien, as you well know, Harvey is like DEEP clear water, it looks like you can touch the bottom with your hand, but when you get in, you may quickly get over your head. Metaphor, and directness can get some confused.

Take Paul Anka. A simple story, but many don't get it. It is one great metaphor for ACQUISITION, one doesn't have to create, just be alert and aware and when you find something interesting, as Paul did with that French song, you have to act on it creatively. Same with the Spud Gun.

We all see the daily mundane items, and pay little attention to them, but a creative or inventor will examine it, ASK questions, what is it, what could it be and who, what, when, where and why.

The view from the rooftop, kicking out the chocks, down the runway, preflight checklist, thinking it through to the end, BEFORE making a commitment...all that stuff that Harvey has shared with us.

He gave me the TRANSACTION as the way to analyze a Biz-Op to see what the "slop and mess" of it all could be. Control and toll.

With 60 years of continuous success, he is hard to beat as a successful person who has shared his "secrets" so openly.

When you do listen to this audio, I know some lights will go off and you will refer to those copious notes you have, just as I listened to several audios again.

It is a shame more people don't get exposed to his life's work.

Gordon

Do we find what we're looking for?

OR

Does what we are looking for find us?

Technically, ANYONE with an Internet connection can find this forum and gain helpful insights into Brody and his work.

But how many will find this forum?

Good question, thanks. I'm not keen on the latter. But also, my experience is that most don't KNOW what they are looking for. They have an idea (like to get rich, or have lots of money, or want things)...but they don't really go looking for it. Many sort of stumble their way through it all.

Maybe they go to college, follow the directions, in four years get a degree, then try to find work. Or learn a skil, or trade and just work.

Smaller % are Entrepreneurial, or want to DO things, or build something.

But as often as not, many people who are looking for something, are also OVERLOOKING what is right in front of them, as the great book by Russell Conwell, ACRES OF DIAMONDS, points out.

Any given day there are forks in the road, and no SCARECROW to show us the way. But if one is determined to get to the Emerald City, they FIND their own yellow brick road or build it as they continue on.

Even with all those people that Harvey Brody has mentored, helped and taught, he remains relatively unknown, but then he doesn't self promote either. I guess, in his case, if you are lucky enough to find him (or if he finds you), then the greater challenge appears: APPLICATION.

It is a good question, maybe others have thoughts on it?

Hello, Gordon ...
Hello Dien ... and everyone!
Yours is such a thoughtful post, so much sincerity and care
infused in your comments.
You’re right regarding the “old-school” Ways with not keen to self-promotion, and in this case, Harvey Brody. Well, if you’d like, one would be delighted to help sprinkle it on one’s twitter feed - - @nonpareil99. Tweet about lotsa different topics. And do remember the joy of learning and discovering from you circa 2013, and also from Lawrence Bernstein about Mr. Brody’s Toll-booth concept!
Your threads on this forum are like a blanket of peace.
Thank you for extending so generously your kind wisdom.
Aloha, nanci nicole

Default Harvey Brody mindset coupled with someone's "formula" is the ticket to independence.

Thanks NN, I'll leave the twitter stuff to Dien Rice. I will however comment on Harvey Brody.

When one couples his 60+ years of continuous success with a tested and proven "formula", it becomes an unbeatable combination of strategy, tactics and continuous profits.

For me, the best match was Ben Suarez' NPGS (Net Profit Generator System) Formula found in his best selling book, 7 STEPS TO FREEDOM II.

The ideas mesh, and it isn't a surprise when one considers that Ben Suarez and his mentor, Gary Halbert both learned from Harvey Brody as did Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy, Joe Karbo, and a host of other successes.

I am a self proclaimed expert on both the Harvey Brody and Ben Suarez materials, as they form a solid foundation for what I do, but...and this is about a 20% but...

I add and mix techniques and strategies from other successful fields and people, most prominent being the fields of Social Services, where I spent 20 years working with persons with disabilities.

The SECRET

as it is with any knowledge...is in the application. How one USES what one knows.

There are many here who KNOW things, some have huge book shelves of other people's knowldege, who still struggle because they fail to FOCUS and follow through with their projects.

There could be better information and techniques out there, that beat Harvey Brody and Ben Suarez combined, but I am not aware of them (and I do have over 40 years in the Biz-Op field).

Thanks again for your comments.
