Default Craig's List Pros?

I publish a real estate publication in the north Georgia mountains area. I placed a post on Craigslist so people in Florida could view the book online and the post was flagged and removed. I only posted in one city (West Palm Bch). Maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything in the terms of use as to why I couldn't do that. Any ideas?

I'm not Craig's List Pro, but it's good to see you back, Andy!
Hope the Advertisor is still going well for you, also.

Andy,

I'd re-post if I were you. Most often it's done by some jerk that thinks it just plain fun to do this.

Sad thing is, any Craigslist user with a wild hair can shut down your ad.

Hi Andy,

There have been Many changes and concerns regarding Craigslist recently...

Especially with Ghosting and other related issues...

If you're mostly interested in getting a few Ads on and Not mass postings... That's another story...

Usually posting each and every 48 hrs & using Multiple email addresses and having Different craigslist accounts works... Some Deleting is also good so you can get back on Top...

Along with an assortment of “twists” and innovative ideas...

Always Test, Test and keep a close watch out for Ads of Uniqueness... Study their methods...

There's Lots of me Too Marketers on Craigslist... But the Smart ones are making the Big bucks...

Think about using Creative & Emotional Headlines and getting people to email you back for the information & links... Linkless ads...

Get people to Click with relevant Headlines that Totally standout... You'll notice only a small percentage do...

Always keep things Fresh and stay ahead of the competition...

Who knows maybe even Collecting email addressses...

Apply PPC type methods into Craigslist...

Googling Craigslist related Keyword phrases can Help with all kinds of ideas etc...

Can't share it all but here's a couple more Good ones...

Default Phil -- I'm confused about ghosting...

Why do they do it? Why make posters THINK their ad is posted, when it's really not. Why not just come out + tell the poster his/her ad's not gonna make it?

What's the reasoning?

I don't get it.

Please let me know the thinking behind ghosting.

Thanks!

That was interesting, Phil.
My last go around with CL was very frustrating.
I couldn't get anything to show up. I kept deleting and waiting 48 hours and changing the ad. When asking in their forum, I was told to repost.
That got me flagged and removed in 2 minutes.
1 ad, 1 city.
It's possible that abuse by others have ruined CL for all of us.

Default That still doesn't explain WHY...

I see why CL needs to do something about spam, etc.

Still doesn't explain why the must resort to 'ghosting.'

What's the benefit of pretending to host an ad, as opposed to just telling the poster that the ad isn't being accepted.

I don't get the reasoning.
