Default Millionaire street cleaner

It's not often you see a self-made millionaire doing a lowly perceived job... Yet, one woman, Yu Youzhen, who is worth around $1.5 million US dollars in China... works as a street cleaner, where she gets paid just over $50 a week...

Why does she do this?

The reason she does it is to teach her kids the value of hard work!

I happen to know that this is a real problem that many self-made wealthy people have. They often have trouble teaching their children the value of hard work - and this worries them...

Yu Youzhen certainly has a unique solution...!

(She made her money in property development.)

Here are a couple articles and a video about Yu Youzhen...

P.S. In my eyes, all jobs are respectable...

I love stories like this. I have seen several stories of people with millions of dollars who would never do anything like this. The fact that she does it to teach a lesson makes it that much more valuable and important. Thanks for taking the time to create this post. I think that many people could learn a lot from this woman. Some people find joy in working, and it doesn't matter what the job may be. There are also countless examples of people who only go to work long enough to earn enough money to keep a roof over their head and that is all.

Thanks Dien,

For Sharing!! ...

Another Blast from awhile back...

You might remember...

Video's kinda slow... Wait, watch, Listen for the complete story! ...

For more than 40 years, Earl Crawley has been a parking lot attendant, never earning more than $20,000 a year. So how did he build a net worth of more than $1 million? Nickels and dimes, he says...

All the best,

Thanks, Phil!

What a fantastic article and video!

Earl never earned more than $12 an hour... But he now has a stock portfolio worth half a million dollars, plus owns his own house outright, too...

He's also gifting shares to others (which is very generous and kind-hearted of him)...

He learned by talking to knowledgeable people, and listening to what they recommended... I guess, in part, it shows the power of listening to what those "in the know" have to say...!

Thanks again for sharing that, Phil...

It's very inspiring...

Best wishes,

Dien

While most people strive to be rich, there are some people who's problem is how to instill goodness with their rich kids...

Hi Emily,

I think you're absolutely right!

I've actually chatted about this with some people... Some rich people have it right. They're able to raise their kids so they have values, are able to work hard, and not just lounge about...

I remember reading that Paul McCartney - who's as rich as sin - tried to give his kids a "normal" upbringing, like he had... Not easy when you're one of the most famous (and rich) popular musicians in the world...

On the other hand, other rich kids lounge about, just waiting to inherit Mom and Dad's money, and just spend spend spend...

That Max Factor heir comes to mind... I think he felt so privileged, he thought he could get away with drugging, sexually assaulting, and videotaping his victims...

But my point is - there is probably an opportunity here... A problem to solve, a problem rich people have. If you can solve it!

- Dien

P.S. Just looked it up. The guy I was thinking of is Andrew Luster - heir to the Max Factor fortune, and also a serial criminal, too... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Luster
