Suggestions on how to compile ebook + sell it?...

Any leads on how to (cheaply) compose/compile an ebook and how/where to set it up for online purchases. Clickbank?

Just need some hints on the 'path' to take for this... cheap methods preferred.

Also would be better to have all paths be web-based (not software I must save on my own computer).

Hi,

I think the easiest way is to write your book (using word processing software, or even writing it in HTML). Then, turn it into a PDF file. Put the PDF file on a "secret" download page on your website.

There's free software to create PDF files. Here's also an online service that will do it for you - http://www.zamzar.com . Also, Open Office's "Writer" word processor can create PDF files (Open Office is free) - http://www.openoffice.org/product/writer.html .

Then, use either PayPal, Clickbank, or 2Checkout as a payment processor. You can set any of these up so that after people buy the book, they get redirected to your download page. (It's more complicated to do with PayPal. It's easy to do with Clickbank, but you have to pay $49.95 for the privilege, though you also get a built-in affiliate program.)

Anyway, that's it in a nutshell!

DOes that mean that 'secret' downlaod page can be accessed by anyone (once they know what the page is), whether or not they have apid? Can't the address of the download page be circulated everywhere by someone who knows the address?

Are there ways to avoid this, or does it not really happen that much any way?

Is Arand Morin's "padlock" product a good solution? Does it involve some kind of 'exe' programing that is undesirable?

Yes & No and Unfortunately just like with Credit Card info and Identity theft...

Sadly... There are places online that Deal in those Negative business practices...

But we'll keep that kind of Google research under lock and key...

No matter the Problem... You're going to have Losses in business... Just make sure it doesn't get Too much higher than 2% or so...

I've got my ebook written and pdf'd. What is the best tool to create the neat ebook graphic covers that you see? I've seen some cheap programs that will do it but the nice ones I have no idea how they are creating the graphics.....

Thanks for asking about Secret Download Pages.

My take... don't sweat the small stuff. Make it a secret page and be done with it. If someone was going to Share the location they could just as easily email the product to their friends.

The nice, neat ones Use ebook covers and other related Keyword phrases...

If you Find ebooks and reports with Graphics that you like...

You'll usually see the Logo and/or the Domain name of the Graphic creator in the bottom right hand corner...
