My lady friend K. sold, on average, $2000 worth of A. product per month and was able to start an engraving biz to go along with it.

then... she got the MLM fever.. jumped into 4-6 companies, no knowledge of their products, expensive monthly purchase requirements.. at the end of which... about $20,000 credit card debt.

I've heard this happens more often than not.

but wait, A. is a MLM company. They just didn't pitch the "money part" first.

GDI may be perfect, just make sure you can profit without the MLM system.

Yes, I think I just like the idea of profiting from other people's efforts, besides just my own!
Thank you for your input!

Given the fact that so few people actually put in enough MLM related effort,
then profiting from the very few who do wil be a long climb.

Been there, done that many times and prefer to pull my own strings now.

Hi Bea, MLM is simple but most people fail to earn a profit doing it.

Most Network Marketing Programs have products that are over priced
and over hyped.

Plus there are two other big problems with MLM.

1) The company can change the rules on you anytime they choose.

2) Everyone is selling the "Opportunity" and not selling or retailing products.

The MLM Gurus will tell you that the real product is turning out well trained business builders.

They will tell you that the products and plan are just the
vehicle and fuel to get you to where you want to go.

I learned from my personal experience's that a company must be product driven above all else.
Don't make the opportunity itself the product.

Before getting involved with any MLM or Network Marketing Company ask yourself
if you would purchase and use the products at the price it's being retailed for even
if there was no income opportunity to tell others about it.

Then if you decide to build a downline you must live by one rule. . . Retail the product
first and make sure that anyone you sponsor has bought at retail and likes the products
enough to continue purchasing at retail. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If someone joins a MLM just to make money they will not stick with it for very long.

If they buy, use and love the product they will tell others about it even if they could
not earn a single dime doing so.

Those are the only ones you want to sponsor.

If they are already a satisfied retail customer who is already talking up the product alone
to their friends then you can ask them if they would like to be able to purchase their product
at wholesale instead of retail and perhaps earn some extra income doing what they are already doing.

Could you tell us why you think GDI is a good product at a fair price that people want and do buy even if
they couldn't make any money reselling it?

Cheers,
Steve Shulenski

Steve hit the nail right on the head. Majority of MLM products are not superior enough to retail and therefore it is tough to keep a downline of buying customers..

Hype and hoopla will not sustain a product very long.

Default Bea..

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, BUT..

Stop and think a minute..

How many .ws websites have you seen in the past week, month, year?

I get upwards of 200 emails a day, and have yet to see a .ws extention on any of them!

In fact, the ONLY .ws extention I've EVER SEEN was on the GDI site.

Pete, I've seen quite a few .ws domains, mostly in spam. I've also heard some pretty strong negatives, and some positives, about GDI.

Bea, ask yourself why the MLM concept appeals to you (and others). If it's because of you making profit on someone else's efforts, why not run an affiliate program through Clickbank or some such and make much more per sale from other people's efforts? Why settle for peanuts?

I always hate to see folks get too involved in MLM because I know from bitter experience (mine and others) how fine a line they walk, how easy is to get caught in snares, and even easier to lose money big time. At the very least, don't get involved with an outfit that forces you to buy things. It's a racket and they usually don't support their salespeople...why should they? They already have a guaranteed income from all the suckers who fall for their ploy.

Wish you well, as always. Good luck, Bea.

Default Read This Book - If You Want To Succeed Selling Anything!

Leave it to the Aussie's to redefine Selling...

This is a book every sales rep (especially Network Marketer's)
could benefit from.

It is published in Australia by http://www.hardiegrant.com.au

WOMBAT Selling: How to sell by word of mouth
By Michael Hewitt-Gleeson

For decades salespeople have been urged by their managers to close the sale. Yet this 'old sell' strategy, which has its roots in 1950s America, has done more damage to the selling profession, not to mention company profits, than anything else. To really succeed in selling you need to be good at creating WOMBATs. A WOMBAT is a satisfied customer who replicates another satisfied customer. (WOMBAT=Word of Mouth Buy and Tell.) WOMBAT Selling debunks the age-old myth that the salesperson closes the sale and instead provides a superior sales and marketing startegy that is based on lateral thinking. It is a customer-focused alternative that delivers proven results. Logical, scientific and easy to follow, WOMBAT Selling will empower your sales force, reward your customers and increase your profitability.

I predict this book will help save many sales careers!

Steve,

Your site looked great, noticed one broken link however, at http://www.petphotographybusiness.com/

When you click on the web site at
www.PetPhotoBiz.com

It comes up with a page not found. FYI
