Default Can you add to this list of things in the REAL world you'd like to see or learn about

and/or participate in?

From recent sowpub an other forum posts, would you like:

To See HOW to bring a Private Label Nutraceutical to Market?

To SEE how to use the SRDS? Including how to contact the list managers? How to test the list? How to look for HOT niches?

To learn how to contact business owners? Or B2B ideas?

How to Source Products, especially overseas? And what is involved?

Did you know there are coming changes in SHIPPING that is about to affect almost every business in America?

How to outsource your fulfillment?

When is it time for the Entrepreneur to put PROCESSES in place?

Please add to this list. Almost everything above is "scheduled" to be discussed soon by an established and successful marketing concern.

What would YOU like to know from the REAL WORLD of marketing and product development?

Thanks for your time and attention.

Default A few back at ya Ankesh.

How to hire people.

Employees or Contractors? Both?

Would a complete A to Z here is what you need to do to hire employees help...including your Federal Number, Tax forms, handbooks, contracts, etc. etc. Would that help?

Would seeing a real life contract, that gets put into force, help? That is, for example, I have a few Copywriter/Writer contracts around, each different. OR a Copywriter % contract? Non-Compete and Non-Disclosure?

How about a complete HOW TO CHOOSE BENEFITS for your employees? Too?

How to raise money.

For the business itself? For new products? For NEW marketing campaigns?
Raising money is both easy and difficult, depending on your goals. IF you are in a start-up and need some serious cash, with research and all that, or if you are a bootstrapper, or a Product Developer...

Many inventors I've worked with want to RAISE money, yet are totally clueless about what it really takes to get a product to the marketplace...so I guess the question is: How to raise money for WHAT?

And I suppose that would create several ANSWERS too, right?

How to sell the company. Good question. We saw in another post that the great late nite TV salesman, Ron Popeil just sold his company RONCO for 77 million dollars and a consulting contract.

Was it a cash deal? Was it any equity? He says the day to day decision making is behind him...he appears to want to create and play with his young children.

Taking large sums of money vs annuity? Good questions. Why sell the company? Good question.

It seems Ankesh there seems to be MOUNTAINS of information on these subjects, BUT a dearth of REAL, firsthand, HOW TO information. Most of the books and reports I've read on these subjects are general and superficial. How about you?

Thanks for some good questions Ankesh.

I think it'll help most people out here. As for me - forms and contracts aren't that helpful because the laws are different here. But guidelines about what points should be included in the contracts help a lot.

I'm partial to books as they allow me to read at my own pace. But I think Video + Cliff Notes help most number of people. Most people don't like to read.

What you want to search for is a company that provides "inbound telemarketing."

Most of them will help you create the upsell scripts and processes too.

Default Start with INFOCISION as your base for comparison...

In order to write both inbound and outbound scripts, I've spent many an hour on the phone with several local companies.

There is a wide gap between the good and the so-so. The good ones can help you make money. But too many will help you lose money.

A telephone campaign has several elements to it, from lead generation, upsell, cross sales and even the downsell...

Jason (and others interested in telemarketing) start with reading everything at the www.infocision.com site; and that will give you a good place to start.

My area is a HOTSPOT for these companies, if you have a product, perhaps I can be of some direct help too.

GJA

PS. Thanks again, all this is very helpful. I suspect there could be several teleconferences, reports, downloads on just the HOW TO of telemarketing...but probably most would want to outsource this.

Default Thanks Ankesh! Also...

Thanks Ankesh!

I will use that term in Google for my search.

I am also hoping to find a firm that is being used by a SowPubber.

Aloha,

Jason
