Default The ULTIMATE SowPub secrets...get these, its all you need.

Don't want to beat around the bush...understand and apply these SECRETS, your financial concerns are behind you. So, if you want money concerns to be in your rear view mirror, here are the ULTIMATE SowPub secrets for financial freedom. Ready?

You must OWN and CONTROL your business.
Your business must be one of demand.


Most IMers have a chicken/egg situation...they have a product, but no traffic to offer it to. IM, like all Marketing needs BUYERS...customers...a demand for your products.

Some have high demand, but no traffic, no eyeballs, they are on the back roads of the world and hard to find.

So, lets delve deeper.

Some of our favorite SowPub GO TO stories come from our experiences. Dien and I have both 'apprenticed' with Harvey Brody, and his many years (over 60) of continuous success selling his ZOOM SPOUT OILER, to the tune of millions of dollars, illustrates the two secrets above; CONTROL/DEMAND.

Ben Suarez struggled for five years, facing bankruptcy, because he had control but no demand...until Gary Halbert got him to sell astrology related stuff (HIGH demand).

And we can go through countless case studies and other successes to illustrate this point. In my chosen area, Writing Specialty Reports, with an emphasis on self-improvement and making money, I have complete ownership of what I create, and can sell it (and have) to others, or can even license it out.

The DEMAND for the topics I write on exists, however, it is my job to get the sign on the main highway, for the traffic to see.

This again is the dilemma facing many creators...getting eyeballs and traffic on their stuff. Here are a few of the ways that is accomplished.

Ads. Ben Suarez ran full page ads in the Sunday comic sections of newspapers. A method that would not work today. But he is doing big business running ads online, and using email to keep his business going after 50 years. ADJUST. Today ads might be on facebook, socials, etc.

REFERRALS. Get a customer, ask for a referral. Give rewards, get more customers, more referrals.

LISTS. Offer a reason for them to be on your lists, and use these lists to market and stay in touch...sounds simple, but if you are just starting you have no lists...and list building can be a very slow cumbersome process. But it works.

JV'S, TODAY the "influencer" is the golden goose, those folks with followers (lists) and who are easily swayed by what the influencer says.

I believe you are absolutely right!

There are a number of things many people don't "get" - yet which are not hard to "get" if it's explained clearly...

Having said that, it's taken me a while to "get" some things...

You never stop learning...

And that's one thing that makes life fun and interesting...

Great stuff.

I am now focusing, again, on doing sales via Classified ADS, selling physical stuff + showing another products. I don't know the exact term to this Can be "Upselling"?.

My experience is what John Caples said about Classified ADS: it's like playing a the lottery, it can lose or win.

Anway, I know my reply is not direct related to this thread, but here it is.

So, the question becomes is there DEMAND for your products? And where is that demand currently being met? Classified ads, in the right MEDIA, can be very good, doesn't have to be a lottery ticket.

The old story about the guy trying to sell fishing lures in GOLF magazines sums it up. Even though a lot of golfers are also fishermen, it was out of tune in that magazine.

Classifieds in general media, like newspapers or online need to be seen by the demand...which mostly doesn't work.

So, it all comes back to the NPGS Formula:

Product-Prospect-Promotion-MEDIA

Locally, a golf company did decades of business selling golf tees in golf classified ad sections in GOLF magazines.

The ad has to meet the demand, if not, mostly a waste of money...the exception being a small cost of an ad and a front end that covers that, with a back end (upsell, add ons) to create the profits. Pretty standard marketing.

Also, classifieds used as lead gen, may work too...again, if the message matches the media.

Gordon, I was reading your reply and was thinking "DEMAND... Yeah, but what is the strategy to find it?"

And got this idea: type the word "looking for" at Facebook Marketplace.

And there are there ADS from people who are LOOKING for stuff.

And even we can choose the price range.

For the most stuff that appears is LOOKING FOR ROOMS FOR RENT and CARS. Not the type of products that I want. I want small trickets, maxim 20€.

So, if I see many identical products with the title "LOOKING FOR"...

Smells solid like there is DEMAND.

And let me also add:

Imersing and reading daily Classifed ADS, I believe it can be very helpful, it will get the reader an actualized DEMAND of products that are consistently being ADVERTISED.

And if we constantly see some products repeated and repeated being ADVERTISED, I assume there is a demand for them.

For example, I see a lot ADS of CARS. Not the type of prodcut I want to deal. To big and I cannot send them on a envelop by mail.

So... Let me focus on cheaper products that I can SEND by mail. I see quite of small electronics and home appliances. That's my type of products.

ON THE INFO PRODUCTS... I'm still on the battle... Very sadly with very few success
