Some of the big money comes from the federal government, mostly in the form of grants to people studying AGW, about $2B.
Richard Branson has pledged Billions, profits from his Virgin Atlantic and other companies. Arthur, the governator of the state of California, is getting legislation passed to provide several billion. There are others so submit your proposals and get in line. :)
