A trip to the past (Sept 11-related)...
It's the 18th anniversary of Sept 11...
Sowpub was about a year old when the attacks happened. I thought I'd go back and have a look at what we talked about... I remember I was completely shocked at the time, and this was all I could post... "Please say a prayer...." http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4325 Gordon wrote an inspirational post, as only he can... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4369 A few days later, we talked about dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4366 One guy in NYC reported how touched he and other New Yorkers were by all the love pouring in from the globe... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4359 We talked a little about the difference between the entrepreneurial spirit, and profiting from tragedy... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4348 And in a more light-hearted note, it was pointed out that "sex" dropped off of the top 10 searches online, for the first time in the history of the internet... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4417 Because of the longevity of this forum, we're able to take a "time machine" and go back 18 years... Thank you all for being part of our story (both back then, and today)... It was a tragic day, and we have had other tragic days since then, I pray that we can help this world become a better, more just, and less violent place... Best wishes, Dien |

I remember it well. Those were dark days. I still get emotional when I see the tributes even all these years later. Gordon and I wrote the original version of "How to Get Out of Your Rut and into Your Groove" in the aftermath of 9/11. Looking back 18 years on that experience, I now seeing that creating that tool/course was more therapeutic than anything (for me at least). And thanks for keeping Sowpub going for all these years. It's a shining light in the marketing world. Rick |
