it is an easy way to make people more *aware* of the ugly fact that the spam police will hang legitimate marketers by their toes at the edge of town (even while letting "smart" spammers run wild.)
The spammers constantly try different ways to disguise the word "free" in their spams. Honest marketers need to be smarter than the spammers. Try words like "complimentary" or "at no cost" or "at no charge" instead of the word "Free."
By the way, in some states, if there is any remuneration (payment) for *anything* at *any point whatsoever* in your deal - you cannot by law call it free.
