Default Because....

it is an easy way to make people more *aware* of the ugly fact that the spam police will hang legitimate marketers by their toes at the edge of town (even while letting "smart" spammers run wild.)

The spammers constantly try different ways to disguise the word "free" in their spams. Honest marketers need to be smarter than the spammers. Try words like "complimentary" or "at no cost" or "at no charge" instead of the word "Free."

By the way, in some states, if there is any remuneration (payment) for *anything* at *any point whatsoever* in your deal - you cannot by law call it free.

Just words of humble advice, my friend.

We'll cover a lot of "common sense" marketing techniques in our NoCost Coaching Program. If you wish to join us, you are very welcome here.

This is a discussion group, not an ezine.

"If I wish to join you I'm very welcome here"????!!!! For your information, I've been posting messages to the marketing discussion groups since 1995, and I was welcome here years before you showed up.

Very sincerely,

Default You Misunderstood Me... I Apologize...

Hi, Boyd -

I was only responding to your question *to me* as to why I use the word free as fr**ee.

My *invitation* to you was for you to join a great big group of us in our (fr**ee) NoCost Coaching program - not to join discussion boards in general.

Our Coaching Program is open by invitation only. If my offer to you offended you, you don't have to join our group. I merely offered.

I'm sorry you misunderstood me. If I offended you by not making myself more clear, I apologize, Boyd.

Default No blatant advertising please....

Hi Chip,

No blatant advertising please (as it says at the top of the forum). I think you're getting close to the line.... Blatant advertising detracts from the benefit of visiting here, and we do delete blatant advertisements. Just to let you know, in case you weren't aware....

(Adding a link to the end of your post is okay.)
