![]() Hi,
Sowpub.com has been under attack the past couple of days... It's what's called a "DDOS" attack - which stands for a "distributed denial-of-service" attack... That's where a malicious person controls a lot of "bots" to keep reloading a website, to overwhelm the server... Under this kind of attack, it means other people can't access the site, or if they can, it is very slow... This has happened before here, but the last time was about 5½ years ago... We're just a relatively small operation, so pretty much all I can do is wait it out... Secure web pages (https web pages) aren't working, temporarily... I disabled them as part of making sure the website is back online... Once this blows over, I'll restore the secure web pages... There is no danger to anyone in this... The only effect is that the website may be difficult or impossible to load during these DDOS attacks... Thanks for hanging in there! Best wishes, Dien |
