Default How to Do What You Love....

Hi Gordon,

That was a good post.... I've been thinking along the same lines lately!

Remember when we talked about "do what you love?" I believe that's incredibly important....

After all, what is life unless you are enjoying it? Those minutes and hours just tick away much too fast.... Better to enjoy it (and of course have a successful business at the same time).

I think it is easier to have an enjoyable life you LOVE if you are running a business. That's because the possible things you can do in a business are seemingly unlimited! When you look at the types of businesses around, they are incredibly varied.... As we saw (recently), even producing art is in reality a business! (You could think of it as a type of product development....)

And that "fire in the gut" -- it's easier to have that "fire" if you love what you're doing.... I believe your chance of success is much higher if you have a PASSION for what you're doing. And it's easier to have that passion if it comes naturally, rather than trying to force it.

I'm focusing more on what I love to do nowadays, rather than working at things I don't enjoy.... That's the key for me!

I do some buying and selling. I've done a little and plan to be doing more product development (though I haven't mentioned it much here so far). A longer term goal is to go back into producing audio products (I have a background in public radio, back in my earlier days as a university student, so I know the basics of audio production -- I just need access to a studio!). And who knows what else could come up? The sheer number of possible opportunities are breathtaking!

> PS. This is where I came in. I'll grab my
> jacket and popcorn and mosey on out to the
> camper now. Have a great life. I have, I am,
> and I'll continue to. See you around.

Gordon, I hope you stay in touch....

- Dien
