Default Remembering HIT THE BALL!

Hey All!

This morning I experienced something that reminded me of Gordon's infamous and magnificent post here whose message was "HIT THE BALL!"

I was in a hurry and I wanted to capture some of the especially invigorating information I had received in my email box to disk.

I grabbed a disk, slapped a label on it so I could write what was going to be on the disk and proceeded to shove it in my A drive.

It would not go in!

Immediately I started to panic! Oh no! My lap top was broken! What had I done, ohmigawsh, once again I had another thing BREAK! AHHHHH!

And then it came to me, "Turn the disk over" which I did. It slid in beautifully.

I smiled and giggled at myself.

Started to copy my file and "Device Not ready" it told me. *GASP!*

I messed up again! What did I do wrong now? Ohmigoodness! I am such a failure at technology! And on and on and on.

I took the disk out to investigate and realized my hastily applied label had covered Wrong Side! It was blocking a very important area on the disk. I had created my own obstacle!

Now THAT was brilliant!

Again, I laughed at myself, removed the offending label, places it on the RIGHT side and copied my stuff.

Moral of the story: Pay attention. Hit the Ball!

With Purpose and Passion,

Julie Jordan Scott
