![]() I just came across this video - an animated "simulation" of what a space flight would be like on the Virgin Galactic service (scheduled to fly in 2008)...
If you want to fly in space, check it out! (Link at the end of this post...) It's a good promotion for their planned space flight! But... some people might ask - why would Virgin Galactic pay to create an animation of a space flight, for something that could still be 2 years away? I think the answer is the power of... anticipation! You'll notice some of the savviest marketers use this technique... The idea is to give out "hints" of a new product, before it's "revealed"... It makes people "salivate" and crave it even more! Michael Ross, for example, used this idea in 2002 to build "buzz" to launch The Great Ideas Letter (which is still going strong). John Reese has used it multiple times in his online marketing with great effect in recent times... And it's a staple in promoting Hollywood movies! You could try it in your marketing and see how it works too... ![]() - Dien P.S.
