![]() > Ladies, a question:
Gordon, I haven't noticed any discrimination against women as a marketing consultant, either online or offline. I do seem to attract a disproportionate number of women as clients and fans of my work as I do not use "killer" and "business is war" imagery in my marketing, and women respond to that. I have about 40% male clients, so this indicates to me that I am not overdoing the female-friendly approach. I am probably better off not dealing with macho types, anyway. One man criticized me for using pink on my Web site as an unprofessional color. Another man congratulated me for using a fresh color combination. I am very happy in what I do and don't feel that anything is holding me back other than the natural limits of my own (really, anyone's) creativity and industriousness. Marcia Yudkin (You can see the colors of my Web site here and judge for yourself: http://www.yudkin.com/marketing.htm ) Is your Web site working for you or against you? Find out here! |
