![]() > HOW do you want to spend your time?
-Living. I mean REALLY living. Not putting it off until the future. -Being with my loved ones. -Enjoying myself. -Helping a few people along the way. -Making children smile. -Figuring out how to rebuild an engine (current project/ "hey, you didn't drop that penny in there, did you?") -Studying investing more thoroughly -tax liens, day trading, and covered calls specifically -Reading - big list to go through here, but I must enjoy them too -Relaxing at the beach -Learn how to sail -Flamenco guitar -Growing - by myself and with others -Buying a flower and watching someone's face light up That's just this summer's list. I think I grow when I clarify these things like this. Thanks, Gordie. > we have a tendency to fulfill our > expectations. I think we do. > Which is why I think having a specific > stated monetary goal and an hourly figure > for what your time is worth is important. I should work on this... $70 an hour was original goal - it has now been moved down. No, not because I couldn't handle it. Other reasons. There are hours when I make $130 and hours where I barely scrape by $10. > Last week I mentioned the guy who made > $4,000.00 in 10 days at eBay, with only 10 > hours of work. That's a heckuva lot of moolah. > What I do find remarkable is how many people > are willing to exchange their precious work > hours for such a lowly amount, and in far > too many cases they hate what they are > doing. $5.15 an hour. Hmm, $5.15 or making love for an hour(just an hour?!) or reading one of your favorite authors or mastering something new? The world is so limited if you're unwilling (or can't comprehend) carving out a space for yourself. Even $25 an hour at a regular office job is limiting. 50 hours plus commuting into Chitown? Hmmm, I like the people I have a chance to be around. It's nice to actually have some time to see them. > MY sales method is this: > I DON'T sell...I educate. Hmmm. Good stuff. Gordon, once again you've posed a lot of good questions. Success, Erik Lukas |
