I can relate both to the pump and the soup, as well as your trying to please all the crew members who were likely to complain about the food as a pastime, no matter how good it was!

And your point about all jobs being important is also highly relevant - too many people in business denigrate positions like sales and marketing being inferior to hi tech software engineering and production. They don't seem to realize that nothing happens in a company until a sale is made and the marketplace is aware and educated about it!
