advice please on obtaining a refund

from a previous host. I wont mention their name here or gripe since everyone makes mistakes.
However I have been waiting for a refund from my previous hosts for at least 5 months now and they keep emailing me saying it is being looked into but the credit never appears on my ccd s.
Im no legal bod but is there any way or anybody that can assist me in my problem ie advise the most effective way to contact the company in question to ensure it is finally settled or is there any precedent that will help me out.?
