Default How do those business people make it on to Oprah?

Getting on Oprah boosts their sales through the roof and into the stratosphere.... :)

I read the story of how one company made it on to the show.... Here's how it happened.

The company Littlearth makes fashion accessories from recycled materials.... And in 1999 the founders of Littlearth, Ava DeMarco and Robert Brandegee were invited on to the Oprah Winfrey show. They had NO IDEA how the Oprah show had found out about them....

But, they later found out the chain of influence....

It turns out that the researcher for Oprah had learned about Littlearth from a book put together by the editors of Entrepreneur magazine.

The editors of Entrepreneur magazine had, in turn, learned about Littlearth from an article in a local newspaper....

So it all started with a press release to the local paper! A chain of events led them to Oprah....

And I guess that's how these things start.... Little things can beget big things, all the way up the chain (if you're lucky!).... :)

But as they say, "You gotta be in it to win it!"

I guess the "moral" of the story is.... Don't consider a small press release to anywhere as being too "beneath" you.... As you never know where it could lead.... :)
