Default Setting the Tone for 2002 and beyond

Hi Everyone!

Here it is, New Year's Eve in the US and tonight I will be celebrating the New Year in the most unusual way I ever have.

I have to admit, I have celebrated in odd ways in the past: Slept in the street...used the gutter to prop my pillow...in Pasadena, California for quite a few years. I have celebrated by taking a bubble bath and going to bed early. Other years I celebrated with friends and family.

This year, I will be home alone with Emma and Samuel. (Even ten year old Katherine has plans!)

So I decided to do something really memorable. Some of you know I have started a Gratitude Garden. From personal experience, I can tell you Gratitude has incredible power. It changes lives. Transforms families (it has mine!) Its influence can be felt the world over.

And from someone who used to look at people who were in "the Gratitude Movement" with disdain, this is quite monumental.

Anyway: what I am doing is this: I am going to hold a Special Gratitude Garden Ceremony. As I have been doing, I will be using the notes left in the Gratitude Garden Guest book as a big part of the Ceremony. If you would like to be included in the ceremony, please visit the page and write your entry.

If its After January 1, I will be having another Ceremony on January 6--which is Epiphany Sunday--love that word, Epiphany....and for each Sunday during 2002.

So what are you waiting for? There are no time limits to the times you can note your gratitude!

See you there!

In Gratitude,

Julie Jordan Scott
