Another example of "Keeping Your Eyes Open"!

The year was 1988. President Reagon had brought the Berlin Wall DOWN and Russia was "opening it's borders to "tours" by "westerners.

This caught my eye because in 1988 I was living near Aspen, CO and a buddy and I read that Russia was "lowering it's borders" and allowing "tours" to different places within it's borders AND...we attended an art show of "Russian Art" in the Jerome Hotel in Aspen.

At this show, we met a rather "industrious" person (for someone coming from a Communist Country)

This guy told my buddy Bill and I that he knew of someone putting together a "Siberian Bear Hunt"...and he thought THIS would be ideal to promote in our country.

All of a sudden our "entrepreneurial ears" went UP and we both KNEW that there were probably 100 or so Zillionaires in the Aspen area who would LOVE to "relieve their boredom" by going on a Siberian Bear Hunt!

So, we got the necessary info...made contact with the people in Moscow who were putting these "hunts" together.....and put together an "agreement" with them where we would pay them an agreed fee for 10 "hunters" on each "hunt".

We then ran an ad in the Aspen Times announcing our upcoming Seminar on "THE FIRST EVER, GREAT SIBERIAN BEAR HUNT!"....to be held at the Continental Inn Conference Room this coming Wednesday at 7pm sharp. Please call xxx - xxxx for more information".

We had a Voice Mail rigged up where we had a 2 minute message announcing the seminar and if the caller would like to attend, they were to "Register" by leaving their Name, Address & Phone No at the beep."

43 people showed up.

We explained that this was the FIRST EVER Siberian Bear Hunt and ran some slides of the area and where the hunt would be conducted.....and that ONLY TEN people could go on the FIRST TRIP....JUST TEN!

Well...I think the room was filled with millionaires and if it's one thing a millionaire doesn't want to hear is, "No! You CAN'T buy THIS with ANY amount of money!"

When we made the announcement that JUST 10 people could go on the first trip for $12,500 each....25 people rushed the podium...slamming down their checks and credit cards.

Well...we handled the situation and from that ONE seminar...put together 6 "Hunts".

My partner got too greedy and I decided to drop out but it was GREAT FUN while it was happening. we were making about $50,000 on eachtrip.

Talk about a HUNGRY MARKET!

The SAME THING could be done again...in the "Package Tour" business.

Find a UNIQUE Tour (a unique NICHE of people with similar interests)...something that is NOT your everyday run-o-the-mill tour and people will FLOCK to your "Intro Seminar" where you present Slides and info about the Tour (you "sell" it to a BUNCH of people at the same time)....and walk out of the meeting with $20,000...$30,000 or more IN ONE EVENING!

Think about it!

A buddy just called me telling me he had come across a unique "tour"....and would I be interested in promoting it in MY area.

My wholesale cost is $1750....and i could easily get $3950 per person....making a cool $2200 per.

Sell 20 of these tickets per seminar and you're talking FORTY THOUSAND A NIGHT!

Forget the so-called "recession" or "down-economy" ...the folks WITH MONEY....ARE LOOKING FOR PLACES TO SPEND IT!

Why waste your time selling 2 bit items to people who can't afford it anyway? Raise your sights! Sell HIGH-TICKET Items to people WITH BUX!

Do some research...find a Unique & Different "Tour Package"...put together a "seminar" for it and "sell tickets"!
