Default I think, therefore I am...

Someone more famous than I said that first, I think.

This thinking thing is certainly something to think about.

What we think is almost always influenced by external stimuli.

Some try to totally shut out the world (external stimuli) and enter a transcendental void by meditating alone only to find they are still thinking about something, unless they are in a self-induced "coma".

I've heard it preached, "God said it, I believe it, and that settles it."

Well, if God is God, and He said it, it's settled, whether you believe it or not. (You will find out if this is correct thinking on Judgement Day...too late!)

Just because you think something, it doesn't make it true. It will be "real" to you, just not necessarily true. You perceive it to be, so it is--to you.

In dealing with various individuals in my life, I often wonder, "How in the world could they think that way?! Don't they know...STOP! No, they don't know. They haven't experienced things the way you have. They don't "know" what you do...

That brings up another point--knowing.

What do you know?

The word "know" as used in the Bible is a very interesting word. It means to experience intimately. A man "knows" his wife. A child is produced.

To know something is more than just a mental exercise. It permeates your entire being. You understand the intricacies of the things you know.

To know necessitates involvement. Often resulting in giving and sharing other things you know.

So why don't all folks believe the same if there is only one Truth?

And there has to be only one Truth? Otherwise, one of the truths would be false, right?

How do you decide what is real? What is the truth?

By collecting facts? Today's facts are different from yesterday's facts. The world used to be flat. Then it was round. I heard they are now saying it may be egg shaped. Who cares?

Who knows?

Know the Truth. Then You will be free.

Be blessed,

JDB
