The above article was written by Mr. Brian Kim and he has highlighted the following point in his blog:

What experts fail to tell you is that you should build ONE strong stream of residual income FIRST and THEN leverage that to build multiple streams of residual income.

How do you guys think about that? Personally, I believe it is quite valid to a certain extent.
