Default 3 Ways To Save Money With Misspelled Auctions...

If someone misspells their title on an online auction, they'll most likely get fewer bids, and the item will end up selling for a lower price.

The reason why is because it's harder for people to find the misspelled auctions! If fewer people find the auction, the auction gets fewer bidders, and it will end up with a lower final bid...

(So, if you sell on eBay, check your spelling - especially in your auction titles!)

On the other hand, it means an opportunity if you're looking to buy. You can find misspelled auctions, and buy the items cheaply for yourself!

Some people even buy products from misspelled auctions, then resell them with the correct spelling, and can end up making a profit...

Here are 3 websites that help you find misspelled auctions... Just type in the correct spelling, and these websites will find variations on that spelling on eBay listings.

I tested it by searching for "guerrilla marketing" (since that's commonly misspelled)...

The first site is http://www.missing-auctions.com

This site seems to work well! I found 2 misspelled items on eBay.com... I think I liked this site the best, since it was the simplest to use, and worked the way I expected it to.

The second site is http://www.typobuddy.com

This one lets you search both eBay and Craigslist too...

The third site is http://www.auctionbloopers.com

I personally liked this one the least, because it also inserts the correct spelling in your search too. The correctly spelled entries tend to "drown out" all the incorrectly spelled entries, making the misspelled auctions harder to find...

I hope you find this useful! If anyone knows of any other similar online tools, please share them. Now, don't hesitate to use this info for yourself too!

Cheers,

Dien
