Default How to cure paralyzing fear....

A couple days ago I bought the classic book, "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David Schwartz....

I've only read a small part of the book so far, but here is something I'd like to share....

He gives a cure for fear....

The fear that can terrify, mesmerize, and paralyze you from doing anything....

The fear can stop you in your tracks. It can be a barrier to your success. If you live in fear, you limit yourself and your future. Finding a cure for this fear is needed to break through to success.

He shares a cure for that fear....

The cure is to....

TAKE ACTION!

When you find yourself beset by fear.... DO SOMETHING! Take action, anything, but do *something*....

That's how to cure your fear.

It is like "learning by doing"....

You may not know all the answers.... But if that fear stops you, you never will learn.

But if you take action, you can conquer your fear and learn at the same time....

That's the cure.... Just take some action, and do it.

I once knew a guy named Rob.

Rob came in one day and told us all that he had just been parachuting for the first time. He took a short course (I think it was a couple of days), and in the end he jumped out of a plane and parachuted to the ground.

He may have been attached to an instructor for the first jump....

Miles was a good friend of his, and he asked Rob, "*Why* did you go parachuting?"

Rob's answer was illuminating....

He answered, "because I had a fear of heights"!

That's the answer....

You don't have to go to Rob's extreme, but he *did* something, and now I'm sure his fear of heights has subsided....

Fears in business are the same. If you are fearful, take ACTION to cure it.

I thought it was a great piece of advice.... :)
