For those interested in "Coffee News" type publications
This was originally posted in a thread started in 2007. I moved the NEW information up to be a standalone post.
In my searches I have found Coffee News, Flying Cow, The Free Weekly Jive, and The Patience News. Then there is Tidbits, The Funny Paper and hundreds of shoppers. Aside from the shoppers, all franchises or business opportunities. I would sure like to learn of any others. Especially any independents out there. {From a past post} NEW info: Another great company offering templates is The Laughable News. Keep an Eye and an open mind on a recent Startup I posted about in another thread... It's Not a "Coffee News" related type publication... But it could very well Be with the right innovative Thinking... A little "tweak" & "twist" here and there on the overall idea...  The business model in general could be Applied to Endless Niche marketplaces and consumer interests... Unlimited possibilities of Negotiating all kinds of deals regarding Specialized info, content, Advertisers etc. etc... Definitely something worth considering in this Ever-changing world As large mass topic publications are slowly starting to shut down a variety of their publications in exchange for Expanding on their online web presence... AND yes, I'll be twisting and tweaking my HOTSHEETS until they take on a life of their own, thanks to YOU and your great research and generous posting. THANKS. Hi Gordon,
I totally agree with you. Phil gets my vote to be in the SowPub Hall of Fame. Over the years he has provided the forum with great post. However, I believe Phil will join with me in saying...you...Gordon Jay Alexander deserve to be among the first to be inducted into the SowPub Hall of Fame along with Phil. I cannot begin to tell you the $5, $10, $20, $100 and “free” stuff I have accumulated by using what you have shared with everyone on the forum. Chatteling still works. Thank You. I was reading the thread from 07, great info, by the way. I found this and thought it was interesting - it is from coffee news

The guy handling the "Table Trivia" publication in my area has been doing this for a few years now...and he always fills the 8-Page, laminated booklet (that sits on restaurant tables) with 28 to 30 ads....in EVERY TOWN he works.

And....5 of the Table Trivia advertisers have also bought a space on my "Restaurant Ad Mugs"
